May, 2014 Job Fair Excites Students to Work

To help give students the opportunity to secure summer internships, our Careers and University Counseling Department hosted a Job Fair for both ASG and BSA students.

The Job Fair, which took place at the Bishop’s School for Boys, welcomed several local companies willing to offer summer job opportunities. This was an opportunity for Grades 10, 11 and 12 students interested in working in the summer to learn more about the job market  and the requirements that employers look for across a range of career fields.

Students met with prospective companies as they presented and discussed their CVs and interests.

The companies that participated included My Gym, Cozmo, Beit Sitti, Jordan Pioneers, The Online Project, Crafty Cooks, Nile TV, Caritas, Fun Factory, Carmiolata, Doazan Wa Awtar, and the InterContinental Hotel.

Our job fair intended to allow students to take charge, be responsible for their futures and to enhance their work skills with "on-the-spot" interviews.

Company representatives were impressed with the level of interest and maturity presented by our students.

The job Fair would not have been possible without the support of Ms. Violet Bawab, Our University and Careers Counselor, for her diligent efforts and dedication in making the event happen.

We hope this was a successful event as we wish it to be for our students and wishing all the best to our students this summer.
